This exceptionally located home boasts unparalleled sweeping views from every side, framing two of Scotland's most iconic peaks; Beinn Eighe and Slioch. Situated nearby are neighboring peaks Liathach, Beinn Alligin and the Torridon Mounatins. The home also offers access to serene Loch Maree, the charming local villages of Torridon and Shieldaig, the pristine sandy beaches and bays around Gairloch and Red Point, all a short distance from the doorstep via car.

           

Experience wildlife upclose with regular visits from local resident pine martens! The surrounding landscape is a haven, offering incredible opportunities for eagle sightings and deer spottings.

The area's attractions include: guided walking, cycling, climbing, and sea kayaking trips; whale-watching trips; salmon, trout, pike and sea fishing; bird-watching; falconry courses; pony trekking; golf course; swimming pool; boat trips to view Viking graves on Loch Maree; bike hire; Inverewe Garden (National Trust) and Attadale Gardens.

 

Cairn Shiel gained new ownership in March 2016. Will and his wife Kaylla now welcome both new guests and those who have stayed many times before. They are a pair of outdoor enthusiasts that enjoy climbing hills, getting out on their bikes, and wild swimming. 

                                                                   

Will is a qualified Summer and Winter Mountain Leader, Mountain Bike Leader, and works as an Outdoor Guide. He may be available for guided walks or cycling trips during your stay.
